I usually access HfP Forums from a couple of places with ludicrously fast fibre connections (home and work in The City, usually from a MacBook running Safari). Recently, I’ve noticed forum page loads and posts slowing down noticeably. The same on my mobile device (but often that could be down to wi-fi or mobile poor performance). The actual main HfP pages don’t seem to be suffering in the same way. This is purely anecdota, but I thought I should mention it. Might just be me or my ISPs of course.
It lost a post of mine yesterday. Basically just timed out. It had tried to lose a previous one earlier in the evening, but at the last moment you could see it was saved. It’s a very long time since that was hapoening previously.
Incredibly slow recently. Gig broadband, 6GHz WiFi and on 5G.
OK, not just me then. @rob @rhys I suspect you need to get a tech to look at this.
I noticed the slowdown since last Wednesday but didn’t say anything just in case it was my setup. I think on Thursday the refresh button on the forum topics took about 15 seconds to load the latest threads.
The other sites I visit were loading at their usual speed.
By Friday I decided early in the day it was slow but later on it was fine or almost fine.
Now it seems to be ok with the occassional slow period.
