Is there a problem with Barclaycard calculating the number of Avios earned ?

I have always doubted the number of Avios received o my B’Card Avios Plus card, and at one stage, Barclays said there was a glitch in the system, something they later denied, saying it was timing differences. I therefore switched my statement date to 1st of each month to coincide with the Avios monthly statements

Last month (1-31 March) I spent £146 but only received 66 Avios. 146 x 1.5 = 219 on my calculator

My wife spent £4624 over the same period, but only received 6296 instead of the expected 6937

Any readers experiencing the same problem ?

I’ve had no issues. The mobile app shows a detailed transaction-by-transaction breakdown of Avios earnings, so I’d start my reconciliation there.

Avios statement month and credit card statement month are often different.
My statement runs from 20th to 20th whereas Avios is transferred on the second business day of the month.
So, it is perfectly possible to get less avios some months if the spend falls after the Avios transfer date. But you get the avios in the end, maybe the following month.
