I am trying to cancel a reward flight online, but getting an error message: “need to be logged on to the account the booking was made from to cancel” and I am logged in.
New bug? Any way to get around without calling?
It’s the usual cookies problem with the new website that seems to have multiple routes for separately logging in to the same place when you are already logged in and it wrongly caching data when you aren’t logged in.
Have you tried a private browsing window?
Just been having a play, and may have found a ‘solution’.
1) Log in to your account.
2) Try to change or cancel a reward booking. Fails with the message above ‘need to be logged in …’
3) Abandon that and try to Book a Flight with Avios. Daft system asks you to log in again, but importantly this time it is asking you to log in to the rewards flight subsystem.
4) Go back and repeat step 2) which now works!
Worked for me, YMMV.
