Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Issues with oneworld flights crediting to British Airways Executive Club

Has anyone else had issues with flights on OW partners not crediting to their BA account automatically? My FF No. is in each booking and the tickets show my OW status, but they no longer credit automatically. I have to retrospectively apply. This was never the case before and only started since early this year and is a consistent problem across all OW airlines (Iberia, American, Qantas, Cathay) – it also does not matter the cabin (having flown Economy, Premium and Business). Whenever I apply retrospectively, BA credit the points and tier but it’s just a pain to do after every flight!

I haven’t flown for nearly two years now so have no current experience but I found that IB flights, either operated or marketed, always required chasing up after the event. I put it down to different IT systems in the background despite both BA and IB being owned by IAG.

Never had an issue with other OW airlines crediting but as I said I’ve not got any recent experience.

Thanks AJA. I had chalked it up to the same with Iberia but then my flights with AA (business), Cathay (premium) and Qantas (economy and premium) did not post either. All started mid last year… Who knows, just annoying chasing every flight up.

I think BA have a some real problems with the Tier point system at the moment.
I took advantage of their double tier point promotion in November and am still waiting for the points to be allocated.
I emailed them and was told they would allocate the points “when they can”

    Not holding my breath!

Thanks. Might just manually request then as getting through to speak to anyone is impossible. I’m pretty tired of the “it’s COVID excuse” – we have been living in this changed world for a while now, so the difficulties are not exactly new! (Not just picking on BA here – but generally across the board – it is a shitty excuse for poor customer service!)
