Hello lovely people, I have few days in Istanbul in November and I’d like to visit Gobekli Tepe while I’m in the country. Is there a way to do that in a day? If I fly to GNY, is there rent a car or any other way of transfer from the airport to Gobekli Tepe? Any advice would be really appreciated.
Fabulous – I would love to see Gobekli Tepe! How far is it from GNY, I’m not at all familiar with Turkey? I know from reading about it that taxis go there, so you may be able to negotiate a decent rate. Also I’m pretty sure there are organised tours these days so you might be able to book something. That would be my personal choice as it’s pretty remote and also quite close to the border with Syria which is still a conflict zone.
Make sure you report back when you’ve been!I’d think thrice before travelling to the Syrian border provinces of Turkey.
