Istanbul hotel arbitrarily cancelled my reservation

I’ve had my reservation in Istanbul at an Accor property cancelled by the hotel. The hotel has simply cancelled the room. It’s when the Champions League final is scheduled in 2023.

Will it be futile to contact Accor customer services department or is there any other option? I rebooked but the hotel immediately cancelled the room again.

An Ibis in Madrid in 2019 and Ibis in Paris this weekend have accepted our reservation without issue, so it might just be a rogue hotel.

I would escalate it to CS even though it might well be futile (Accor CS is the worst of all the chains). You could try DM via Twitter also (that often gives better results for HH and IHG).
