Like many, have previously jumped on the status match for ITA. I have now booked my first ITA flight but struggling to know two things (economy light ticket).
1. Do I get a free check in bag?
2. Should seat selection be free? It’s still showing cost despite putting in my FF number
Appreciate if anyone can share their experiences so far.
It obviously depends on your status level but you should get free seat selection.
I haven’t booked with ITA but I was delighted when I booked an Air France redemption and despite not being able to put in my ITA number on Air France, I was able to add it via MMB on ITA and this then gave me free seat selection for the flight.
I am Premium (Sky Team Elite Plus) and was able to pick seats on a flight from LIN-LCY recently and get into the lounge at Linate. Didn’t need to check a bag, so can’t help with that.
Called them (which was answered within a few minutes). 23kg baggage is included for me for the economy basic fare and I can choose my seats but only in the second half of the cabin. Up charge for front of plane or exit aisles. Both benefits don’t apply to others on my booking. Interesting differences with BA silver.
