I posted this late last evening but thinking about it, maybe better here….indirectly BA.
Interesting Willie bashing….!
(Clue….it’s not Heathrow’s fault.)

Loved this quote
“Neither man comes with a reputation as a corporate saint – in fact, they both have enough baggage to jam a carousel”
The reality is that both are right and as bad as each other. Walsh has really trashed BA’s reputation along with all of the benefits that distinguished BA from the LCCs. He really did cut costs along with all the benefits along with staff and much else. All in an effort to shore up the share price.
Rudd on the other hand deserves his moniker of Sir Sell Off – he just sells off the companies he runs. Nothing he does is for the long term. It’s all aimed at getting the share price up in order to maximise the sales value.
As the article goes on to say perhaps instead of taking issue with each other they could use their considerable experience together to make things better for passengers.
On the other hand perhaps it’s best that neither gets involved and just stick to their current day jobs. Sadly for us that means Walsh still has some sway in the cushy job as head of IATA. Not sure what costs he can cut in that role?
