I’m flying LHR to Tokyo in September. I’d been noticing that JAL had started releasing first class redemption seats, started mid July and they were releasing 1 seat per day for a week in advance. I set up an alert in seats.aero and today got a notification that their pattern has changed and a seat opened up on the date I wanted. Grabbed it immediately, 123k avíos and £370 OW for seat 2A on the be A350. This flight is currently selling for £11k so I’m over the moon!
Currently only one day in August with F availability but definitely worth keeping an eye out if a trip to Japan is on the cards imminently, quite possibly the best redemption value I’ve ever had, and 9p per avíos.So approximately £1600 off-peak (@1p per Avios).
