JFK lounge access

Hi all,

I only have the amex B.A platinum plus credit card.

What is the best lounge we can access with this card at JFK and how do we book a place and can each card holder bring a companion for free? We are flying to New York for Christmas this year

Do you mean the BA Premium Plus, or the Platinum Card (not BA)?

Either way the answer is no to prebooking. If you’ve a BAPP then no lounge access, if you’ve a Platinum card then you’ve got some priority pass options including some restaurants, depending on the terminal you’re flying out of.

If it’s Amex MR Platinum IIRC, you can take in one guest per card, subject to space in the lounge. You can check which lounges it gives you access to in the relevant app/website, not sure which one it is these days.

With some cards you need to activate your lounge membership, so check that you’ve done this first.

Flying with which airline? That will narrow down which terminal you’ll use at JFK. The answer may be that there are NO lounges available to you in your terminal, even if you hold an Amex Platinum card.

Yeah flying from JFK with BA in T8 in Dec – no lounge on PP at present… hopefully one will pop up soon!

I read that you can technically go in another terminal to use the lounge, but with no internal transfer and needing to do TSA twice it didn’t feel worth the stress
