Kalamata Airport car rental

Advise needed
I am trying to rent a car from Kalamata Airport. Info is very confusing as to where the car will need to be picked up.
Can anyone please advise which companies they used to have cars at the terminal and not shuttle/meet&greet?

Kalamata airport is tiny. You can walk from one end of the ‘terminal’ to another in about 30 seconds. Was last there in 2021, and I remember seeing Hertz inside, who I’m pretty sure they handle Thrifty’s rentals too. Unless it’s changed since then, Hertz certainly allows both pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport itself and not an off-site.

Counter in the terminal to do the paperwork, then walk outside to get your car … if you need an automatic book it as you won’t get one as an upgrade (in fact book what you need as the selection is er.. limited).

Shell garage nearby to fill up on return.

I just booked with Cartrac. Good reviews, local firms are so much cheaper than the multinationals, and they are very close to airport (walkable, within 200 yards I reckon) but they meet you at the airport with a sign. Very good online chat too.
