Keeping AVIOS alive using AMex MR transfers.

Does a transfer of Amex MR to BAEC account keep them alive?

Thinking of ditching the Barclaycard Avios card and using Amex to top up Avios when needed.

Yes, that works. As does transferring the minimum number of Nectar Points (400, I think)
