Kenya Airways status match

To be honest, I’m flying this Friday and was more concerned with the “Elite Plus” status not being on my boarding pass and having to argue my way through Priority Check in & Boarding, Fast Track and Lounge Access!
Wouldn’t have been the end of the world, I have a lot of that through other means, but still…

Should be interesting on Friday, will report how it goes.

What an adventure, makes RJ seem like a walk in the park. So either there is a lag when switching out loyalty schemes or one must complete a full profile? Guess we need to wait for someone else to get into this particular pickle & airline combo to know for certain which of the two it was.

Contacted KLM CS – 3 times, 3 days. Gotta say the feedback that they won’t change Flying Blue status couldn’t be further from the truth, extremely helpful and never mentioned once it would be an issue to switch to Asante – 3 different CS agents.

This is good to hear though! Never had any luck on the odd occasion it happened to me.

To compound matters even further, I just got an email from Kenya Airlines:
