Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors Kid friendly Hilton options in Europe

I’m looking for some hotel recommendations:

Looking for places in Europe (or not too much further) to take the wife and kids (5&1) away for a short break using HH points.

Are there any hotels that have family rooms for standard point redemptions?

    Thanks

Been to Hilton Sarigerme in Turkey last year with my 3 year old and a 4 month old.
Kids club, food spread, service and facilities in general were at a good level but nothing luxurious. There were shows and separately kids entertainment up to 10pm every night which was nice.

Being able to get it on points and redeem 5 for 4 for a decent all inclusive in Europe is a sweetener.

There’s been multiple mention of this place mostly good but not so good for some.

Service @ Dalaman Sarigerme for us was horrid. Never again. Also location of some rooms very far from everywhere you need to be. Mostly for us it was the service that was a deal breaker. I have shared before.

Not many other Hilton properties but we are now trying IHG properties if that might work for you and they seem more relaxed with the kids (we have 2,4,6yo). We are considering intercontinental Aqaba for the next points trip as we have Maldives on points (Hilton and IHG) booked already for this summer and Antalya at a non hotel chain also in august.
Ppl here have mentioned the susona bodrum too which is Hilton. Not sure if kid friendly.

Agree Europe isn’t the best for Hilton properties, especially in holiday/resort areas. What’s usually possible is to book s standard room on points then see if you can get an upgrade to a family room or suite – you might get this free if you have status, or they might ask you to pay a supplement.

Best properties for families tend to be in the US where you can use Homewood Suites to effectively get a 1 bedroom apartment with a separate sleeping space for children plus full kitchen, and many of these are 50k points on night or even less.

There are 2 Hiltons on the Costa del Sol – the HGI near Malaga airport plus the Higueron Curio near Fuengirola, they might fit your criteria for a short break.

Also Hilton Diagonal Mar in Barcelona, right on the beach. Not that close to the “main” things, but
fine for kids to mess about & mall with all the essentials v close (+ cinema).

Guaranteed interconnected is a bit of a game changer for families with Hilton. If you are not too fussed about staying at the very top of the award chart, two rooms in a mid-range property is often about the same on points as one room in a higher-brand property, and will give you more space than the vast majority of single-room suites, let alone standard rooms.

You have to cross a main road to get to the beach. There wasn’t an infant friendly pool when I was there in 2018.

I hadn’t realised that the Guaranteed interconnected option was available when booking with points? Given there is often a 10% x 2 charge when paying by cash it may add further value to my HH points going forward.

Thanks all. I will check out those. I also had t thought about emailing and upgrading from a standard room.
