Hi HfPers,
Is there any card/account/etc. that gives out accidental damage laptop insurance as a perk? Barclays Premier, AMEX Platinum, etc.?
If not, are there maybe any promos you’re aware of that give points/discounts when taking out a new insurance?
Thanks,
M
Yes. HSBC Premier credit card (the free one) gives you 3 years extended warranty that includes accidental damage. For some reason they keep it very quiet, when it is worth £hundreds. But… the laptop must be under £2000 – just about possible now for the latest spec Macbook pro in a sale.

Nice, I will look into it.

Two years, not three.
I’ve found laptop insurance readily available and ok priced as add-ons to business policies.
We have the Virgin Club M account, that gives family travel, breakdown, Phone, gadget(watch , tablets etc) and laptop insurance for the family for £14.50 per month.
Moved to this from Nationwide flex plus, due to better travel insurance conditions and the gadget/laptop cover.
Not claimed yet….

Two years, not three.
It is three years accidental damage minimum. It is two ‘extended’ warranty years beyond the manufacturers warranty (which is allowed to be one of two years), and accidental damage from the point of registration to the end of the policy. So minimum of 3 and maximum of 4 years of accidental damage for free. For apple, it is 3 years.
As I say, very poorly advertised for such comprehensive cover.
