Just looking for anyone’s experience/advice of this. Day trip to Amsterdam from LCY. Three of us on an Avios booking in economy both ways. Fourth person (my sister) on separate Avios PNR outbound Club, return economy – there were and still aren’t any more Avios economy seats on the outbound. The trip is in August and flights at LCY are generally wide-open.
She doesn’t want to fly alone (for an hour!!). I don’t think it will be a problem to just speak to the crew and move down the back with us or swap seats with me. Could go to check-in at LCY and try for a move. Also I could try to speak to the Avios booking line for some help. It of course will depend on the CS agent at the other end. Anyone have experience of this?
She’s not happy about this unless it’s sorted before the day and wants to pull out. Silly, I know.
Cancellation charges will suck up the cash component of cancelling her booking.
I know this isn’t helpful, but if this is the only thing she has to worry about….

Yes Chris, I agree. You don’t know my family!!
Just swap with your sister and lap up the luxury!
Edit… just noticed this was an option in this intriguing dilemma 😆
I’m with ChrisBCN, it’s a very weird thing to worry about. Having said that, I did see someone on my recent flight from LCY move from Club to economy to sit with their wife and young baby (similar situation on redemption I think). They simply explained the situation to the cabin crew when boarding, and the cabin crew asked the person if they wanted to be upgraded. So it can be done.
Either you can swap with her or she can offer her seat as an upgrade to an economy passenger and very possibly make their day.
They will happily let your sister have a voluntary downgrade. If there is space. My advice two of you book window and aisle with gap in between. Either no one will choose to sit there. Or the person will be happy to money to club
Auto spell strikes again , should say move to club

It’s a LCY flight, so 2+2 I’m afraid
