Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club LHR to MCT via DOH Questions

  • 45 posts

I have booked Club Class return LHR to Muscat via Doha on BA. LHR to DOH is on BA and DOH to MCT is on Qatar with a BA flight number. I have some questions as I have always flown direct to destinations and with the airline I have booked with.
    1. Will my luggage go straight to MCT after check-in at LHR? and likewise straight to LHR from MCT on my return.
    2. When I check-in on my BA App will that be only for the first leg to DOH. If so, how and when do I check-in for DOH to MCT?
    3. I assume 2hr 50mins outward bound and 1hr 25mins inward bound is enough time for the transfers.
    4. Do I have to go through immigration at DOH?
    5. Finally, if I have time and all goes well what are the lounges I can use at DOH?

In advance, thanks for any answers and advice.

That depends whether the DOH-MCT flight has been booked in F or Y.

    Sorry, answers. Slipped my mind.

    1. Luggage should be booked straight through.
    2. Check-in likewise
    3. In my experience yes. Unless overly delayed 🤷
    4. No
    5. I’ll leave to others. Everything’s changed from when I last did.

Sorry for gatecrashing the thread, but this is a very similar questions to myself.

London Heathrow to Doha with BA and then Doha to Perth with Qatar. Unlike Gary they are two separate bookings with BA and Qatar due to problems when trying to book with BA.

I am guess this means that the answers will be quite different as the tickets are separate.

Does this mean I will have to collect luggage?
Do I need to go through security/immigration? or is there a bag drop for transfers?
Any other information to take into consideration would be appreciated.

    Thanks
