Linking Iberia account with Membership Rewards

Hi all – I have asked this before but I thought I’d bring it up again. I have had my Iberia Plus account linked to my Amex account for years but people with a newer IB Plus account have more digits on their IB Plus accounts resulting in not being able to link to Amex for some reason.
Has anyone had any luck linking with the newer amount of digits?

Same issue for me. Next got round to solving but did needed to trigger Iberia account for an award redemption and needed one Avios. Got round by crediting an Avios for thoughts survey.
