LNER payment error

Only fales on AMEX card, the error shows “Something went wrong Error code: B40301 Sorry, there was an error with your payment. Please check your details and try again.” When I switch to Virgin mastercard, the payment goes through.(But only 8% cashback rather than 12%)
The LNER agent looks not familiar with this at all. Only asking me to correct billing address or change a different card. Is anyone has a same experience before?
I’ve done many bookings on LNER on Amex, never a problem. And also tracks the cashback the next day.
I book using the website, and also the android app.
I made a booking (paid for with AmEx) in the iPhone app yesterday with no issues.
