I travelled in October 2023 with Japan Airlines and registered my BA Executive Club number to get points on most of the flights. These were credited with no problem. However, the registration didn’t work ona couple of the flights and I have claimed the missing points and flights with teh Executive Club. The claim was over six months ago an I cannot get anything from BA Executive Club except emails saying they are looking at my claim and thanking me for my patience. My patience has run out.
Does anyone know how I can complain about the dreadful service and the length of time taken to credit the points and actually get some action?
My experience in circumstances out of the normal is to pick up the phone and hold on until you speak to a real person (no matter how long it takes) and try to get them to resolve the matter. So many email responses these days are AI generated and merely kick the can down the road.
I had an incident recently where I cancelled a couple of JAL return reward flights (LHR/TOKYO) that had been booked using American Airlines points. The flight got cancelled easily enough but the crediting back of 300,000 points and £500 in taxes simply didn’t happen. Eventually after waiting 10 days, I picked up the phone &; I spoke to a real person at American Airlines in the UK who was super helpful and the matter was resolved immediately and points had been credited back before I even hung up – the Amex credit of the taxes happened withing 3 business days.
