Long queue for security at airport

I have a Easyjet flight later this month, departing Manchester Airport at around 6:30pm, but I can’t get to the airport any earlier than 4:30pm due to work.

Having read the news about horrendous 3-hour long queues for security there, I’m worried I might miss my flight even though i’ve bought fast track. (I wish PremiAir was back in service!)

What are the options if I do actually miss it due to the long queues? Since it’s just a short weekend trip, I’m tempted to cancel if the only option is to fly on the following flight (which is in the afternoon on the next day)

I’ve read through travel insurance policy documents and the wording doesn’t seem to cover the loss from such an event… Is there any way I can claim back flight costs and/or pre-paid hotel bookings?

Kevin, I’ve used FastTrack at MAN T1 twice in the last fortnight and had no major issues (circa 15 mins going through security).

I see that MAN have suspended the sale of Fast Track but are honouring existing bookings.
