Redemption lhr-Sin in club, then 4 hour transit until Sin-syd in eco. Can I get lounge access? As redemption seems to rule out Qatar lounge but BA or Qantas May be available??
I cannot answer your question but its the best Airport in the world. Lots to see and do; The Jewel shopping, a massive waterfall, sunflower garden etc. Many fairly empty places to eat & drink
My understanding is no, you need to be connecting to a “shorthaul” flight to be allowed access on the basis of your longhaul being in Business Class
Contract lounge isn’t a bad idea for that length of time and to get a shower etc

I’ve heard multiple reports recently of long immigration wait times. I’ve also heard before that immigration will deny entry for short transits. So the Jewel etc may not be an option but as you say, great airport so no need to go landside anyway.
Another option if it’s available at the moment is a shower/ swim at the ambassador transit Hotel
Even the worst PP lounges there would be better than the best at UK airports. If you have PP from any credit cards, make use of it.

Thanks all. We (family of 4) have been many times just never with a switch of travel class. We have seen all the airport sights including the waterfall pre-covid. We will simply see what we can get access to but was hoping for some insider knowledge of application of the greyer lounge access situations.
Talking of grey, Last time we went though, the swimming pool was disgustingly filthy. The changing rooms have never been air conditioned afaik so you really need a lounge to shower after (given the humidity). Plenty to do though so no drama.
That is a shame . I haven’t used it for many years as I was living there so wasn’t required. The changing room shower situation is a common problem in Singapore – one gym I used was the same!
As I say, by my understanding of the lounge rule you wouldn’t be eligble, but I’d say it’s worth a go
You would be allowed access if you were connecting to a short haul flight (with a scheduled duration of up to five hours). I think SIN-SYD is more like eight hours so no dice.
