Looking for advice on two airports which I rarely go to.
1) which lounge at Gatwick South would be the best with a child in tow (5). I’m happy to prebook via PP.
2) Tampa – it’s a delta sky club lounge but can I go in with my platinum card if flying BA?
Thanks
2). You’ll need to give information about what cabin you are flying in and any airline status you have to get a full reply.
Weirdly this is the exact questions I’ve been searching for the answers.
Gatwick, my plan is to go to grain store for food with priority pass then no 1 for £6 pre book fee.
Tampa, from memory you would need to be flying a partner airline to get access to delta. Only priority pass is Mise en place cafe and get $28 off bill each cardholder plus guest.
We were at MyLounge last week and it was pretty basic though relatively quiet/plenty of seating and an outdoor area. It did mean we could get a quiet corner with the kids which was helpful when our flight was delayed for 2 hours but otherwise I can’t overly recommend. No. 1 lounge is the opposite end of the scale and you will definitely need a booking to get in there. Food is an improvement on MyL, but the lounge is persistently busy, and previously my wife got shunted to the Gateway lounge when it was overbooked – she was fairly unimpressed with that and the lounge. Not been to Aspire but Rob’s last review wasn’t particularly complimentary.
If clubrooms has reopened (it was supposed to be opening recently), that’s probably your best if you can stomach the extra fee.
We visited the sky club lounge in Feb whilst flying home on Virgin. It’s a fairly small space and not especially luxurious but there are plenty of spots out on the concourse you could hang out in if you can’t get access.

I looked at pre booking clubrooms but wouldn’t let me when adding 2 year old to booking
My understanding of all the Delta lounges is that Platinum alone doesn’t work, you need to also be flying Delta (or a partner).
The access info should all be listed on Amexs very useful lounge access guide.
Thanks all. I’ll prebook at Gatwick and deal with the terminal in Tampa.
@jonny_ Note clubrooms don’t allow kids which is why it wouldn’t let you make that booking. Whilst I can see the point here, my one experience of Clubrooms (BHX) was that most 2 yrs olds would be better behaved than the adults in there.
pay per use lounges in the UK really seem to attract the worst…
