Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Lounge at MEX now flight is at 23:00?

BA have changed the inbound flight from 9pm to 11pm. Prior to the change BA used the Admirals club lounge, however this lounge closes at 8:30pm…

I’ve checked one world lounge website and there are no other lounges BA passengers can access. Iberia does have one but it is ONLY Iberia from OW that has access.

Are BA really now not providing lounge access to business and FIRST passengers on the inbound for this route? I have flown this route a few times in F and whilst the lounge certainly isn’t anything special, it was somewhere reasonably comfortable to wait for the flight..

As you say, BA only offers the Admiral’s Club or Iberia which are both awful so we don’t bother going to either, even when the flight is at the normal time. The Centurion lounge before security (close to BA desks) is open until 10pm and the one after security until 11pm. I haven’t been to the latter, but it’s apparently very small so often a waiting list to get in per staff at the other one but maybe not at that hour.

When I flew back last year, the flight was delayed for 2h+ due to late arrival of the aircraft. The drlay was already known prior to check in. Admiral lounge was kept open to accommodate this flight. Everyone in the lounge was also told to stay in the lounge and go to the gate very late (basically after the entire econ cabin was boarded). There was also announcement in the lounge to let everyone know when to go to the gate.
