Travelling LH GLA to HKG Economy in January with a 5 hour layover so trying to see lounge options.
I have Senator status but I will be travelling with my 2 elderly parents. I’m aware that my status would only allow to guest one of them in with me.
I am prepared to pay for all of us to get into the lounge but I see that Lufthansa only allows paid lounge access to the C15/C16 Bistro lounge by the C gates. My understanding is that the FRA to HKG flight will be departing from the Z gates.
How feasible is to go from the Z gates (Glasgow flight will arrive here), to the C gates (for the lounge) then back to the Z gates (for the HKG flight)? Will there be any issue with passport control/security?
I have PP and Dragon Pass but I don’t see any FRA lounge in T1 – which is annoying/strange.
Do you have any Partner Plus benefit points as you can buy passes that way I believe. Even as a fit and able chap, the schlep from C to Z is a mission and will inevitably involve a security check and/or passports because, this is Frankfurt.

Thanks – it looks like that scheme is only for businesses. Look like we will need to ‘slum’ it in the terminal

Good shout! I did read another poster who said they were denied access to the LH Lounge with Amex platinum but maybe worth a try. I have the Amex Gold already so could upgrade for 40,000 MR Points and keep the Amex Platinum for a short while. I wonder if I get a partial refund of my Amex Gold fee if I upgrade to Plat?

That was probably my post about Dubai. Amex came back and said the agent was wrong, but as Lufthansa don’t seem to want to confirm this benefit exists…
Presumably agents in FRA would be better versed than DXB. A few years back I used my Plat card in Munich without issue.
Yes, have flown a fair bit on LH shorthaul in economy this year, and had no problem accessing Lufthansa lounges in LHR, FRA, MUC and BER with Amex Plat.
