Apologies if that’s old news, but I have noticed that the access rules for Lufthansa lounges with Amex Platinum have been updated on Amex’s website to include additional Lufthansa Group airlines. Looking at LHR T2, for example, it now states:
“This lounge is only accessible for passengers departing from Terminal 2. Access is only possible with a Lufthansa Group (Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Air Dolomiti, Edelweiss Air, Eurowings, Discover Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City Airlines, SWISS) flight.”
Previously, people reported varying outcomes for access when flying airlines like Brussels Airlines or Eurowings. Rob stated that, as per rules on the Amex webpages, no access will be granted (though people have sometimes reported otherwise—personally, I never had issues entering the LHR lounge when flying Eurowings). Keen to hear people’s experience if anyone has recently accessed the lounge under the new rules.
