So the baseline points redemptions looks something like this

    Sai Lagoon 85000/night
    Conrad 95000/night
    Waldorf 120000/night
    Amingiri : we don’t know as yet…

I wanted to know is there a method to when these baseline redemptions are released?I have come across where they are available an year in advance and at other times when they aren’t.Similarly I have been able to find a few months prior to staying at times too.Is there a rule like the BA 355 days before or is it just luck +/- occupancy of the resort etc or just up to the resort.

Post above rates : it gets ridiculous with points, asking being up to 10 times of the base rate for a night’s worth.

Any tips of smart HFPers welcome

Conrad & Sai pretty easy to get right?

WA – good luck – they release every week or 2 – but they go quick. As a data point I got mine recently on a Saturday at 1.08am for 1 year out and so they might release around then. I want to say about 5-7 nights were released. I had been checking about 20 times a day for a few weeks. Note they price most at 120K but sometimes some at 150K so make sure your point rich. But yes v hard to get these, I checked this morning they had 2 nights at 120K available for the next 1Y.
They do release batches randomly through the year if they feel load is light.

Using points for Saii lagoon is possibly the worst redemption option. Cash fares are cheap if you book early and you’ll get some points in return as well.

You are right Benilyn : Conrad and Sai very convenient.Sai tends to soar up to 685000 per night randomly 🙄 (I think that’s what build back better is referring to)
I had my eyes on WA but have been checking meticulously for a few days now and the new nights ‘drop’ at 1310000 points 🥺😳

I guess your are looking for redemption during northern winter which is when they have high demand.

And even if you find any WA availability it will only be 2-3 days max. I’ve been on the same boat too and just gave up on WA and looking forward to the new Hilton

    You are right.
I have been once and would rather go WA than Conrad 😳😳which was also nice of course or Amangiri if magical 60k points a night (one can dream on…)

They do release 1Y out in batches of at least 5 nights, I think it might be 7 or 10 nights.

Theoretically yes. But almost impossible to get for some reason. Maybe I didn’t try hard enough but I don’t even know what else I can do apart from checking from Hilton website.

Opening has been pushed back to 3rd quarter of 2022 according the hotel website. That only changed a few weeks ago, so I guess they can’t open bookings until they have a firmer date.

I also tried hard to get WA for a week in December 2022 but no luck. I could get the week at the Conrad but have booked Ritz Carlton instead…

    Hi there,

So booked a 5-day redemption at the Conrad Maldives for my birthday next year in Feb. I’m diamond so booked the 5 nights for 4 on points (95k x4) = 380,000 Points. Following a recent stay in dubai and potential to top up with the current Buy HH points offer, I can have another pretty cheaply get another 95k I can use on a 6th night!

When I look to book a single night on to my existing booking, all room redemptions are currently at 580k Premium nights. However, when I look to book a whole new 6x night booking, redemptions reduce to the standard 95k Standard reward nights. It therefore makes sense to cancel the 5x night booking and rebook a new 6x night booking!

New to HH redemptions though, so if I book the 6x night stay, will the 5 for 4 offer automatically come off and require only 5x 95k or does this only work on 5x night booking? I’m just confused to why adding 1x night requires 580k points but 6x night require less???

They’re only releasing the 95K nights for longer stay bookings (eg like 5 nights). Not uncommon behaviour.

Hilton have done a no notice devaluation. Rangali goes up to 120K, Waldorf all nights are 150K. Lots of increases elsewhere too.

You’ll still get one night free on a six night redemption, like you do with the five. It’s just most efficient to book in multiples of 5 nights to maximise the benefit of the free night but you get the benefit on any stay of 5 nights or more.

Not happy about this at all – should be a notice period !

Rangali has always been silly value, especially with the OW villa reservations. It couldn`t last.
