Malta car hire

Hi there, looking at care hire in Malta at moment. The usual search sites come up with companys like Abby Car / Auto Union / Sur Price / Car Wiz / and then several other local companies. However when you look on Google for reviews a lot of them get very poor reviews!

Does anyone have any recommendations for good companies?

Budget were fine. Driving in Malta is terrible though!
