Morning All, Is it possible to manually transfer the avios and therefore avoid the next £20 monthly fee? I’ve hit the £10k spend and no longer need the card but I’m guessing I’ll lose the bonus avios if I close the card before the transfer takes place.
No way to manually transfer the avios, but they transfer on the 2nd working day of the month, so should do so on Wednesday.
Presumably you’ve already got your voucher in your BAEC.
I downgraded my card to the free card once the avios posted, and I had my £20 fee refunded at my next statement on the 9th of the month.
Thanks for the reply. I’ve opted for the 7K avios rather than the voucher (we only ever use companion vouchers on reward flights so the voucher would never work for us).
Ah I’d forgotten they transfer on 2nd working day of the month (only had the card for 1 transfer). That should work absolutely fine then. I’ll downgrade the card between the transfer date and my next statement date. Thank you!
After all that my points didn’t even transfer on the 2nd working day of this month so I’ve had to pay the £20 monthly fee again. Has anyone else had an issue with their points not transferring this month? They’re still sat in the pending avios for me which is annoying.
