Pleased to say that my 3 night stay which started 1 day before the new promo began has just posted to my account with 2 x 1000 bonus points and 2 extra elite night credits!
I saw posts on here suggesting that stays beginning before the promo start date wouldn’t qualify at all for the bonuses. Pleased to say that’s not the case
Normally with Marriott it always works for the nights you stay within the qualifying period regardless of when the stay starts or ends.
Were those extra 2 elite nights also shown in your Lifetime stats?

Yes as they are rewards eligible rates
And yes counts towards lifetime as do Marriott credit card nights.
