According to this:
https://www.americanexpress.com/en-gb/credit-cards/marriott-bonvoy-credit-card/
$100 Marriott Bonvoy Property Credit
Book direct with Marriott for a 2 night minimum stay at The Ritz-Carlton® or St. Regis® and get up to $100 in credit for qualifying charges.
is this new? I don’t recall having it when I had the card before. Presumably similar to the spend benefits when booking with Amex FHR or Emyr.
It’s been around for a while. If you’re logged into the Marriott site/app, they can tell from your profile if you’re a cc holder and show you this rate automatically without needing to inout any special rate code.
It is purely a property credit; it does not replicate any other FHR benefits.
In my experience the rate tends to be more expensive than the credit anyway so it’s not been worth using – I hadn’t noticed it until I looked for it explicitly since it was one of the more expensive rates, so if you’ve been booking RC/StR you might not have noticed the rate on your account anyway.
