So I’ve booked 2 hotels in Hong Kong prepaid on Marriott website , Mira Hong Kong & Mira moon paid using my bonvoy amex card
Transaction processed and showing on my Amex account . Both hotels in Hong Kong Only been rewarded standard earning points
Booked Sheraton Macau that’s posted fine
Used chat and called the call centre . They are not budging and won’t give me the x 6 points refers them to Marriott website and yet still not budging
What’s my next avenue to get the points posted . I’ve spent 1.5k on the hotels so it some points I’m due
Advise appreciated
What is their reason for not giving you the points?
They’re saying it’s not a Marriott hotel it is part of the Mirar hotel group and I booked on the Marriott website – it’s a design hotel .
The Sheraton Macau posted no problems
Are there any exclusions in the Ts and Cs?
It explicitly says “6x On spend at eligible Marriott properties” but nowhere does it define what an eligible property is in ony of the docs on the Amex application page.
Complaints address is on the last page of the Ts&Cs
Also check https://www.marriott.com/en-gb/loyalty/terms/default.mi under the Design hotels section there’s a link to eligible properties. If your hotel is on the page at that link I don’t think they’ve a leg to stand on.

Design hotels bookable on Marriott are part of the Marriott Bonvoy programme therefore they should be eligible.

Last time I had this nonsense I raised a formal complaint included the screenshot of the hotel on the Marriott website and my Marriott reservation number if they so wished to check with Marriott if that was one of their bookings. I got the points and some £ for my bother.
Did you send them the email confirmation from Marriott or a link on the Marriott website? I would try a few times to get a more competent agent.
I wouldn’t waste my time anymore just raise a formal complaint and let them chase you.
You still might have to chase them, they were shocking with me recently. They refused to pay out on one of the hotel cashback offers, despite it clearly being saved in my account. I lodged a complaint and received an email response saying they still couldn’t see the offer, and considered that the case was closed. I complained again and got the same email response from the same agent. I then made a specific, written complaint against that agent for being completely useless and eventually got a call back from someone who did know what they were doing, agreed that the screenshot of the offer I had sent them was very much visible and credited me the cash back plus £50 for my trouble.
It was like pulling teeth, as they say!

I referred the Amex agents to the website for them to confirm but I’ve not emailled the Marriott link as I don’t have an email address for Amex.
I’ll send a snail mail to Brighton and hope that someone will help … I hope I don’t have the same issue again when booking the Moxy in Chester next week !!!!
When I’ve booked Sheraton , westin , Le meridien there hasn’t been an issue …

I stay there a bit. No issues with getting the 6x on AMEX, that always posts, but never get my stay points and Night Credit without chasing. Ever. So remember to get a paper bill on checkout and wait 2 weeks patiently to submit a missing night request!

Stayed at delta Tudor park Maidstone , after 4 days points/ stay didn’t post , email to the address got a reply same day and stay credited , infact they gave more points then I should of actually got
@MF176 you couldn’t recommend parking near by / at hotel if you have needed
