Am I right in thinking that Marriott’s Cyber Week Sale is due to start today? Can’t see mention of it on their website or app yet.
Is there a time of day that their sales tend to go live?

I’m seeing a Marriot Bonvoy Escapes Member rate for the hotel I was looking at in the app – valid until 3rd December. Wasn’t there yesterday so that is probably it – not lower than an existing rate at the hotel I was looking at…..

I’m seeing an “Escapes” rate, but weirdly only 20% app discount (not 25% as the sale advertises). And as you suggest, it works out just as in-flexible and more expensive than the standard prepaid rate. HA HA!
Update… Going through a specific web link and scanning a QR code brought up the Cybersale rates, but seems to only apply to “Standard” (basic) room types and the rates are all prepaid / non-flexible. For the property I’m booking, there’s no benefit vs booking their standard prepaid rate:
Escapes rate is a discounted rate for upcoming weekends and available all year round but only for the next 3 weekends. Hang tight for the proper Black Friday offer.
I’m finding Escape Rates in January, so maybe part of the Cyber Sale is simply to make Escape Rates available further in advance?

Got a pop up about the Cyber rates. Very limited stay window of 1 December to 20 January. ‘Availability is extremely limited’. For Bonvoy members booking in the app, 25% discount measured against the standard rate. Prepaid and non-cancellable, non-changeable, non-refundable.
Doesn’t sound like a great sale.
