This article https://www.headforpoints.com/2022/03/28/which-barclaycard-avios-mastercard-is-best/ mentions Mastercard World Elite benefits come with the plus card which “will be covered in a few days”. I can’t find that coverage – can someone help with a link? Also can’t see any mention of it on the Barclaycard site.
:)) there was an extensive debate and a disappointment about it. Even Curve metal has MC WE.
It has been rumoured that some airports provide fast-track security for WE cards, but everytime I tried it they said no.
So, in my experience, WE benefits amount to nothing.
Unlike Platinum, for instance, each bank needs to negotiate with MC for the exact set of benefits they’ll offer. It seems that Barclays didn’t bother much with it.
Personally I wouldn’t get any benefit from Curve Metal so haven’t bothered. Would be good to at least know what the deal is.

I am not sure if this directly applies. Some of us do not have a MC from the country Georgia.
You would be lucky even if you can register your card no. to MC WE
I managed to get upgraded to President’s Circle with Avis
The Barclaycard line now is that there is no budget to fund WE benefits given the number of Avios they are handing out and the vouchers.

Yes but how come MC is not bothered by this. They use WE logo yet deliver nothing.

Me too, thanks to someone posting about it on here.
Then you can get Hotels.com Gold status.

Ooh, good tips. I have circa 3 weeks of Avis hires at the end of the year. Somewhat bizarre that the form for Presidents Circle asks what kind of card you have but doesn’t request any proof. Guess I’ll find out in 5 days if it has worked.

They got Barclaycard to launch a big new product suite on Mastercard for the first time in at least a decade. They’re not complaining.

Had an email 30 mins later – I’m now Presidents Circle. Nice.

I attempted to register my card and got an email back the next day saying that it was a Mastercard promotion and as I had an Amex saved in my Avis profile they could not action it. They instructed me to change the saved card to my WE Mastercard and to reply when I’d done this.
I did and I did and they actioned the upgrade.
Ah, of course. Didn’t consider that they have my Barclaycard saved onto the profile.
Hi, I’m trying to get Avis status via the Priority Pass route, however, I am hitting a stumbling block.
When I click the “Click here to join today!” link at the bottom of the page, I am informed that the website certificate is bad and the connection isn’t secure.
Does anyone know if this offer has expired? Or if the offer is still good, then a better link?
TIA
If it’s any help, I get the same.
No Barclaycard?
No, no Barclaycard.
Just wondering if this Revolut card I have with the words “World Elite” on the back actually does anything World elite-y…
Give it a try here and you may well get Presidents Circle as well:
