Hi all. I’m looking to fly LHR-SIN-KUL-SIN-LHR. Would it be possible to use a companion voucher for the LHR-SIN legs on BA metal and combine it with a cash booking to KUL? The ultimate aim is to use the 2for1 voucher and have our luggage checked all the way to the final destination.
… to merge two separate bookings via two separate airlines.
What if the SIN-KUL legs was booked with avios via BA? I’ve checked and there is availability on MH. Would it be possible to merge the 2 separate bookings in that scenario?
No BA won’t merge bookings and won’t through check luggage, whether all BA metal or a mix doesn’t matter. They’re belligerent like that.

If you’re using the companion voucher, then there is no way to get to KUL with baggage checked all the way through, as advised above.
