I just noticed that I’m only getting MR points for spend above the ’round pound’ threshold.
E,g. Spend £0.99 get zero points
Has it always been like this for MR points?
I know for the Avios-earning cards it definitely got rounded up.
Pretty sure it’s always been like this for MR cards.
Same with Nectar points, always rounded down. Certainly for as long as I can remember.
On the BAPP card it’s rounded up in comparison to 1.5 avios per pound.
My examples have been the following:
£0.50 -> 1 avios
£1.50 -> 2 avios
I have seen some transactions like one I did last week for £73.56 that wouldn’t round up though. I received 110 avios instead of 111 avios. But on the same statement I do have a transaction of £1.50 that earned me 2 avios. A while ago I was wondering if anyone knew about their rounding as I couldn’t find any specific answer on it.
On my Free Rewards card £0.99 earns nothing.

Avios rounding is different to MR, it is rounded to the nearest Avios.
For your £73.56, multiply by 1.5 = 110.34 Avios, hence your getting 110.
£1.50 x 1.5 = 2.25 Avios, so 2.
Meanwhile, £3.20 will net you 5 Avios.

That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation!
