Multi carrier Avios redemptions now priced automatically.

Previously you had to state that you wanted an itinerary pricing as a multi carrier avios remdeption now it is automatic. so be aware that an itinerary may be way more expensive or cheaper if you have 2 non BA carriers.

How do you do this? I’m keen to experiment.

If you book a flight with two or more non BA carriers its priced according to the mileage on the multiple carrier avios chart. This can save you lots of Avios or cost you more if you are not careful.
1. check availability online and phone up to book
2 itinerary is 2 x for business and 3 x first
3 The itinerary is priced according to the class of the longest segment (ie if you fly Paris -tokyo in business and tokyo – London in first its priced in business)
4 use great circle mapper to work out the miles
5 work to the top of a mileage band
6 you are allowed one open Jaw
