    Hi,

Does anyone know how to book a multi city cash fare booking with different cabins selected for each of the legs, potentially six sectors? If I start with WT for the short leg it then locks me into WT for the rest of the trip rather than select CW for some of the long haul elements. I have look at the sectors individually and know that CW is available. I even tried with an agent who was not able to price. Any thoughts? I could price individually but I would suspect that is not the most economical way to price it. Any input appreciated

It might help if you said what you were wanting to book, although if you’ve tried over the phone and they can’t do it then it may not be possible.

    Thanks Matt

Trying to book DUB-LHR (WT), LHR-SIN (WTP) and SIN-SYD (CW).

On inbound, SYD-SIN (WTP), SIN-LHR (CW), LHR-SIN (WT).

    All are off peak

@DollarBill – that’s really just a round trip rather than multi-city and what I suspect what you are coming up against is that some of the fares for the mixed classes aren’t combinable, so the system won’t price the trip except as a full fare. There may also be a question of permissibility of stopovers on some fares if applicable.

Unfortunately, upgrading (to business) the sectors you mention is bound to be expensive and it might even be more expensive than having more sectors in business. That wouldn’t be at all unusual.

You need to check the fare conditions and maybe work it out on something like ITA Matrix. If you don’t want to do that, you can ask BA to book and send it to fares for a price, but it’s better if you know the details rather than leaving it to them.

Thanks JDB, that’s pretty much it. Can price the trip in WTP or CW as a return but trying to establish the middle ground. I’m disregarding DUB/LHR as it’s largely immaterial on the overall price

I don’t think the stopovers are a factor as SIN is considered the established switch/stopover enroute to Sydney.

Granted sectors can be upgraded post but just trying to see the price upfront before committing to it.
