Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Multicity bookings on ba.com – 6 segment max

  • 56 posts

Hi, how do you do a multicity booking and choose flights after 10am?

ba.com only shows the first 6 flights of the day chronologically for every city pair. This is a problem for places like AMS, EDI and JFK. Selecting airports doesn’t work either because e.g. LHR-EWR defaults to showing the first 6 flights between LON and NYC

Please don’t say “use Google Flights” because the booking link defaults to “sorry one of your flights is not available” and reverts to the first 6 flights doom loop

Is there a secret way of forcing the worst airline website in the world to do this? Or are people on multicity bookings only permitted to take morning flights?

    1. Do searches on google flights to get your desired routing.

    2. Call BA and feed the agent the details – flight numbers etc

3.The BA website isn’t the worst in the world.

    2. How do you avoid telephone booking fee?

    3. The old BA web interface used to show dozens of flights, why does the current one only show 6? I was booking complex multi stop, multi carrier flights to Australia on ba.com 10 years ago – you could even choose whether to book the same flight under BA/CX/QF flight numbers to optimise miles earning – what happened?

Also try booking it as a BA holiday using the custom trip option and add a hotel for one night

Inform the advisor that you tried to use the BA website, but it wasn’t permitting you to select your desired itinerary.

I concur re the custom trip option. Sometimes you can get it to accept more than 6 sectors as well.

Once you get it priced up you get the option to change the times of each flight.

The best way to search is the old ITA matrix site but that’s closing unfortunately
