Forums Payment cards American Express Multiple guests with Priority Pass

  • 5 posts

I wonder if anyone has tried getting in multiple guests with multiple priority passes.

Travelling from STN tomorrow (very early) and travelling with my wife and two friends. I have a Platinum and Platinum Supplementary – didn’t have the forethought to get a sup card for my wife as keep meaning to cancel my card.

If I have two Priority Passes then do you think I’d be able to get four people (myself included) into the Escape Lounge at STN? My feelings are no as in theory, if the pass is in my name it would only allow me and a guest in (so me and a friend and me and my wife not the 4th member of the group).

Has anyone had any job with this?

    Thanks,

    Max

Who can say. You might be accommodated.

Not to sound like a misery guts, but we can’t all complain here aboit being refused lounge access then also engage in brainstorming over how to work around card rules to see more than the entitled one guest accommodated

So you do have a Plat supplementary or not. If not then you can take 2x only. if yes, then 4x could go. additionals will be £20 each. Note that the Escape Lounge gets Very busy. I had to be put on a waiting list and waited 1h but was quote was 2h, so thats was a result.

Thanks, have 2 priority passes. Will give it a shot – I suspect it’ll be very busy – just tried to pre-book now and no availability!

Certainly not trying to cheat the system – just clarify the rules and get my fair dues like everyone else here!

I have tried this several times and unfortunately been refused all the times since post Covid reopening (worked before).

At one point I had PP via Platinum, LoungeKey via HSBC Premier World Elite and Dragon Pass via Barclaycard (so also tried directly at Plaza Premium aside of the PP lounges).

The issues is that the lounge operator “can” only accept one membership for BP (not convinced there is an actual system block as I have seen it scanned with no issues before COVID), so they cannot accept multiple membership for the same BP (and they cannot obviously scan a membership card without associating that entry to a BP with a same name as part of the entry party).

PS I have since downgraded my HSBC PWE card because it became useless and did the same with the BarclayCard Avios card. I usually needed a 5th entry for my youngest and since stopping me from using various membership at the time, I have had lounges in Italy and Qatar let the youngest in as a favour a couple of times, but when travelling a couple of weeks ago with three kids alone, was actually charged two entry extra (as a side note at Plaza Premium, after trying to use the dragon pass code for the two extra entries and being refused, the lounge dragon offered me to let me buy two entry at the door at £19 each (Plaza Premium will only accept two entries per Platinum card, no options to scan more people in and getting charged £20 each for guest 3 and over)
