Multiple supplementary cards on the same account

If I add the same person as a supplementary user for another card, so that they now have Platinum and BAPP as a supplementary user, will they just add the second card to their account that the Platinum card is linked to?
Not sure how this works and an agent has just confused me when I had asked a different question.
You have one Amex account (normally), you can then add cards to it as you get them. You’re asked to link the card to the account when you activate it – you just need to log in as usual.
*You can have more than one account, but it’s much easier to keep all your cards together.
I have Plat and BAPP, Mrs S has supps on both cards, she has one account with both cards added to it.
To provide an update to this, it’s now no longer possible to have one account being used for more than one supplementary/additional user cards. This is apparently something that was implemented a couple of months ago.
So, if you’ve now got a new second supplementary card like in the example above, you need to create a new account to manage that card. They can supposedly use the same email address but a different username for log in.
As soon as the new account was set up, I got two emails telling me the email address and phone number had been updated for the additional user.
Cannot add multiple supps on the same account. Pathetic.
It’s been like this for ages, wait a week or so, remove the card from one account and you should be able to add it to the first account. I don’t know why this happens but waiting has fixed it nearly every time I’ve experienced this.
Correct, just need to wait for a few days and you can add to same account. P2 has 3 supps and no issues. I had 3 cards and 2 supps, no issues at all.

With all this talk of multiple supps, a recent thread about someone having their Amex cancelled seemed to suggest that an excess of cards was one of the potential cause – in that instance the victim had two main accounts and four supps from others.
Garbage Amex agents make up. Wait a few days / a week and it’s fine.
Thought I would update this with a more recent experience.
Recently added as a supplementary card holder on Platinum card.
Already have BA card on App but unable to add Platinum card.
AMEX chat agent advised not possible because of different address even though we have same address. Then told me he would request it to be added in 7-10 business days but could not guarantee it would happen.
Tried removing Platinum card from it’s new online profile and now it won’t even let me add it back or add it to existing App. Wants me to create a 3rd online profile when trying to add it. Truly awful system Amex are using.
