So many people do get triggered about the weirdest of things…

They do. I also find none of those scheme useless as every now and again I’ll be offered 15-20% off a £50-60 shop.

I’m glad others noticed this. I don’t know why it bothers me as it really shouldn’t, but I just feel infuriated by their marketing suggesting MyWaitrose is ‘better than ever’ etc. honestly, 2 x 50p off vouchers is already pathetic, but the idea that I have to logon to choose and save them before shipping is utterly ridiculous. All for sake of £1 off stuff you might not have bothered to buy anyway when there are much better offers on other things. Who on earth came up with this? More to the point who on earth approved this – and where on earth did the do their focus group testing? Does the average Waitrose customer really care enough to do this? It doesn’t even go half the way to making up for the fact they now charge £3 for delivery (fair enough, given everyone else does, but this used to be a really USP IMO)

The thing is, I never used to really care that my waitrose had basically no benefits (didn’t really go for the paper and didn’t shop in store for coffee) but now it actively annoys me because I feel like they must think we are all stupid.

Anyway, rant over. Thanks for listening 😬

JL’s complete lie of a motto ‘Never Knowingly Undersold’.

They are now getting rid of it but it’s been a lie for years.
