Nectar email

There is a recent nectar email that says IHG bookings will receive 6 nectar points booked through its site. Has anyone used the scheme?
Do bookings still receive the IHG rewards too?

I didn’t even know about it until this comment.
I see it now in my Nectar account, but it expires in 4 days (at which point it goes back to 3 points per £1 spent).

Frustratingly I have yet to find a way to book my AMB free second night via a CB site or e-store. I will look out for this Nectar possibility for other cash bookings in future; checking it against the relative merits of the TaCoBell website

6 Avios per £1 through the BA Shopping portal currently. Better than 6 Nectar points!

ive got 750 extra on nectar on non refundable plus guaranteed 1k or 2k per night (which includes ihg hotels)

One could argue that 6 nectar points is better than 6 avios that may get clawed back!
