I’ve now had the delight of using the new BA website to book a few flights over the last couple of weeks. I’ve noticed 3 areas where the new site is LESS functional than the old site:
1. You used to be able to see how many Avios and Tier Points you would earn for each flight in Manage My Booking. This information is no longer there.
2. There used to be the ability to “Add flights to Calendar” after booking. Again, this seems to be missing from the new website.
3. I can’t find anywhere to add my OnBusiness number – either during the booking process or afterwards in Manage My Booking. This means that I will have to remember to log in to the OnBusiness site after each and every flight, and request that the flights be processed manually (thereby creating extra work for BA).
It’s possible that these functions are hidden somewhere I can’t find them – so if anyone knows where to do any of these 3 things, please let me know!
The new website has ‘nx’ in the URL, is there any way to stop a browser from automatically being forwarded to the new website’s URL?
There must be something in ‘settings’ I reckon.
Unlikely, web redirects are done at the webpage or server level.
I’m on the old site searching for avios redemptions and it’s a nightmare of you have duplicate tabs open (which I haven’t) and sorry there’s an error message as the back end server fails to execute the search query for the umpteenth time.
Can’t use seatspy cos I’m looking for Iberia routes with a voucher.
1 is definitely still there as I’ve just checked on two separate bookings on the app.

A few weeks ago I found that by changing my Region/Language from UK/English to USA/English it stopped me going into the new NX site, which is crap. Do this at the top right of the home page before logging-in.
I’ve just changed back to UK/English and still getting the old website pages.
Also, use your browser to forget everything about ba.com and start again.
Good luck. There must be a browser that has a do not allow automatic redirects in settings.
Also – where do you type in e-voucher numbers now?

I refer you to the answer I gave a few moments ago.
If that were possible it would appear that pretty much every website on the internet would be broken for you from time to time. More information if you’re bored. https://www.brightedge.com/glossary/redirects
Thanks @davefl for your helpful replies.
The whole website seems to be stuffed right now –
* slow response
* empty pages loading with no content
* can’t get account information
* oops that page isn’t available right now, there’s a problem at our end!
* you seem to be using multiple tabs
* an error during Avios redemption search – try again later
* ba.com is busy at the moment – try again laterThe usual BA shite!!
someone should be held accountable (and sacked) for allowing these website improvements to go live.
For the “Nations flag carrier airline of the UK” their IT systems are truly embarassing.
“Nations flag carrier airline of the UK”
Why would you call them this? They are a business and you know who owns them, right?
thats what they refer to themselves as, just google them 🙂

Except they don’t say that anywhere on their homepage or on their Google ads, or searching for that phrase. Google it, and you’ll see.
perhaps try a simple google search of “British Airways” –
I’ll even post the link for you https://www.google.com/search?q=british+airways&oq=british+airways&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBwgAEAAYjwIyBwgAEAAYjwIyEAgBEC4YxwEYsQMY0QMYgAQyCggCEAAYsQMYgAQyBwgDEAAYgAQyBwgEEAAYgAQyBggFEEUYPDIGCAYQRRg8MgYIBxBFGDzSAQgxOTk5ajBqNKgCALACAA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8and I’ve made it even super easier for you https://ibb.co/3Mg0dSt

Just posted on different thread. I haven’t been able to pass the question I’m a human lol! Page comes up to click on the shape that breaks the pattern. When I click on correct answer – a star – the same page returns. If I click skip, the same page also returns.
Someone posted earlier in the week that new choices would be available for bookings later this week. Having had the test pages come up a number of times, I assume it will take some time before all the pages are loaded. Why would any airline do this at one of the busiest times of the year?
I’ve had to click on the star twice in a row to get past it, but even after that I’m just getting an error message when I try to search for flights! Only tried one browser so far though.

probably support about to expire !
Schroedinger’s website! I am both logged in and logged out at the same time! Stuck in an eternal loop.
Also, what’s with the puzzle CAPTCHA – not much use for anyone with any accessibility issues. “Click the image which breaks the pattern”?!?!??!

Thanks for that, but it’s still not what you put. I suggest reading about quotation marks.
Not just the BA website but yet again it’s all systems, call centre, flights affected etc.
After reading the above I logged in to my account to find a thousand tier points had gone AWOL along with 90,000 Avios. I have no doubt they will reappear at some point but wouldn’t it be better if BA recruited competent IT specialists? Has anyone else lost Avios and tier points?
