Hi there – just wondering what the evening meal offer might be like to Lisbon?
Thanks
Probably the small pack of mixed nuts. “sorry, good wasn’t loaded this evening”.
It was horrendous to Zargreb on Thursday, prawn salad or aubergine salad. No menu’s hardly any drinks loaded, the head crew member was so apologetic and really rather embarrassed.
If I’m honest it screams ultra low cost. The BA lounge it T3 was not much better.
Why on earth did you use the BA lounge in T3 and not Qantas or Cathay?!
Had choice of aubergine curry or braised beef and mash or prawn salad last Monday. Except that was in row 9 and the prawn salad option ran out at row 8!

I had the same thought 🙂
My flight to Lisbon unfortunately was from T5 so no choice for me. Galleries Club South was a bun fight. I wonder if Lisbon flights will return to T3 as I’d like another chance to sample the dim sum in the Cathay lounge.
By the way if you want a restaurant recommendation in Lisbon try Laurentina. Am here now. Their Prawn Laurentina is to die for.
Apparently the owners were originally from Mozambique and came here in the early 70s and brought the cuisine back with them.
Not cheap but wow.
We are visiting Prague at Easter – I’ve promised my OH it will be worth the faff of connecting at T3 for the Dim Sum!
Thanks AJA for the recommendation.
Thought I would try CE out to Lisbon as menus have changed – doesn’t look too promising!
Its T5 departure- guess I should aim for North lounge too.
Another restaurant recommendation is A Valenciana. Opposite end of the scale to Laurentina, but much cheaper too. They do decent half or whole roast chicken peri peri or not, steaks and pork dishes with rice and french fries or portuguese potatoes (basically like crisps but home made and delicious), salads as a side order are good too. Meal for two including beers and desert and coffee is €36 including tip!
Don’t worry njb, we were impressed by the choice and quality of catering to/from Lisbon this week.
As AJA mentioned, it was beef cheeks, aubergine curry or prawn salad on the way out. We then had beef and potato salad, prawn curry or tomato rigatoni on the way back. It was all delicious and it was nice to have menus on the way out at least.
I like the cognac, was the only reason I used BA lounge but they have failed to supply it both lounge and on the plane. I had just had brekkie in Cathy pacific first lounge, very tasty indeed. Lol not tried Qantas to be fair.
General feedback on the new CE catering is very positive, to be fair. Not sure I’ll see much of it on a 45 minute hop to AMS this week but let’s see!
