I have three unused companion vouchers issued prior to the new vouchers which came in September 2021. Has anyone seen a big difference in reward availability with the new vouchers ? Are more seats available from -355 or do extra seats become available as departure time approaches and does availability vary from route to route ?
There is definitely more availability on some routes E.g. the fellow that was asking for JNB the other day. You don’t see more availability at -355 as BA tend not to have cheap seats available then.
Things are a bit messed up just now because of high demand and low supply but when this settles I expect you’ll end up with pretty decent availability in most routes for E.g. tues/weds flights several months out which is when you tend to get loads of i class availability.
There definitely is a difference- an example this week was the extra avios seat availability to Grenada that was released and highlighted in an article on here.
Tried to book first with Mrs Trotter’s old style voucher as it has the closest expiry but there was no availability showing…. Used one of my 2-4-1s instead from the new BAPP and there were plenty of seats & successfully booked 👍
