Just seen in the app.
Choose one of these two:
2k points every 2 nights or
10k points every 4 nights
I chose the second one as I have long stays at IHG hotels in the second half of October so will work better for me.
I saw that then forgot, thanks for reminding me! Just need an Amex offer now …

I think we’ve had it. That Regent/Kimpton/IC one that ended mid-Sept.
Sadly as most of us are getting better value from IHG points than ever before all my remaining stays are on points so non-qualifying for this bonus promo. It’s too late in the year leisure travel planning wise to shift nights to IHG.
Qualifying night doesn’t seem to be defined. Might work with reward nights?

No. It’s on qualifying paid stays as normal with these offers.
From the offer email:
—
A Qualifying Stay is a minimum one-(1)-night stay booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding US $30 (or local currency equivalent) for each night.
—
And from the reference to T&Cs on their website:
—
Qualifying Rates include Reward Night/Free Night* and most business and leisure rates, such as Advance Saver rates, Best Flexible rates, Global sales negotiated rates (including but not limited to Corporate Gold rates), national/regional/local government rates, and specified leisure rates as confirmed by IHG’s reservation systems. In Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Greater China (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan), Qualifying Rates include all locally negotiated rates. Note: In Greater China, Qualifying Rates also include all corporate negotiated rates settled with hotels via regular payment. In all other parts of the world, locally negotiated rates are classed as Qualifying Rates if the rate is discounted less than 30%.
*When staying on a Reward Night/Free Night, Members will not earn Points or partner miles/credits on the room rate or room rate equivalent; however, Points are awarded for all other eligible charges.

My reading of that is Reward Nights still count as a qualifying rate, just you won’t earn any points on the room rate. You do have to spend USD30 at the hotel though but this could be on breakfast/dinner/spa…
I think Rob said recently that award nights don’t count for this sort of thing, and the $30 stipulation is to stop people taking advantage of promotions by booking really cheap hotels in the Far East.
Yes that’s right Anna, reward nights have NEVER counted for these offers. They count for status nights and for the milestone rewards but never for the stay X nights get X points promotions, so don’t get excited people.

Whereas reward nights do seem to count towards Hilton Honors points promotions.

Why is it too late to shift? Are you booking non-flexible rates? If that’s the case, then I can understand. If not, you can just cancel and book IHG hotels if you prefer.

Too late to shift because I maintain a major crime incident room style board listing all my planned travel movements and plotting my route to top tier hotel statuses. And IHG Diamond + 40 nights for a lounge pass is already baked in. Shifting nights to IHG now would put other status achievements in peril.
That’s sounds brilliant! Probably much more fun than an actual major incident room, as well.
Got an email invite, but it’s asking for a promotional code…I don’t have one?
