Newbie questions for Barclaycard Avios Plus card

Sorry if the questions were asked before.

I just received my card today and added to Barclaycard app. Is that correct as the reward section is showing 25000 avios instead of 50000 for spending £3000.

Also there is an option to link with your BA executive account, any reason not to?

You absolutely need to link your BAEC account or you won’t get your avios! There’s usually an option to do this in the “view your avios” section of the app. Did you not give your BAEC number when you applied though?

Thanks Anna, I did give my BAEC number and it was showing on the card approval confirmation form.

Your avios should transfer automatically then, keep an eye out after your first statement though as a couple of people reported it not happening and having to chase Barclays to get their accounts linked.

Also just activated the card, bonus also says 25k. Anyone with a hole burnt in their pocket can you update when your bonus comes through, and if it credits 25k or 50k.

I’ve just had a welcome email stating 25k not 50k as well.
