Next double points sign up bonus?

Hi everyone.

Might be asking for someone to use a crystal ball but…
What and when is the next sign up bonus for Amex cards. The gold and plat just finished and I thought normally the British airways cards are next?

Planning to book a holiday and big spend but was holding out for double points?

received email from BA this afternoon, BAPP SUB increased to 50k avios when you spend £6k in 3 months or BA Amex (free) 15k avios when you spend £2k in 3 months

they say you need to apply via the link in the email…

apply by 15 July

Also, just speaking to Amex Cs. They are saying you don’t get a sign up bonus for the British airways Amex card if you have a gold card?

Pretty sure you can’t get a SUB on the free BA card if you hold Gold Amex (or any personal Amex within 2 years) but you do if you hold Gold then get the paid BAPP card. I certainly got a SUB from Gold in February then SUB from BAPP last month.

Yup. That’s the article I referred to but customer service seem to say that she has a gold card and if I refer her, I can’t get the referral points (as she’s already with Amex) and she can’t get the welcome bonus as she’s got a existing personal card 🙄. They keep pasting in the quote that it’s a new card member offer only if you haven’t held a personal card in the last 24 months (and on asking that includes the gold and platinum cards too). Really strange!

Yes the link is personalised

I look after BA accounts for 5 family members and I only have the email once so far so I’m sure they are in the process of sending them out
