No flights to Costa Rica after 29.03 published

Hi all

I’m looking to use my companion voucher for a flight to Costa Rica in April 2025, but it appears that there are no flights after 29.03.
There used to be 3 weekly flights from Gatwick, tue – thu – sat but I’m now left with no options (other then flying to Madrid).
Does anyone know whether the flights will be released at a later date or what other options there are?
Any alternatives to Costa Rica?

I don’t think BA fly direct to Costa Rica after end of March. Can’t see any availability for this month, for example.

I’m actually expecting that there will at some point be some additional flights added over the Easter (Semena Santa) period given that it is very late next year.

It is a very popular route from the Flight crews perspective

You can use your BA 241 on Iberia flights.

Don’t get your hopes up.

The Winter / Summer cut off is sacrosant. Airlines even stop flights to / from seasonal destinations when Easter / half terms is the same weekend as the clocks change.

Ok, thanks all. I’ll book via Madrid then, I just wanted to avoid the additional flight time with 2 young kids.

Look on the bright side – at least it is a lot less Avios from Madrid and reward seats seem easier to get hold of with Iberia…. and Costa Rica will be worth it – we’ve had a couple of amazing holidays there and would love to go back. Good luck with your planning.
